4/11/05 -
Thanks to everyone that made the car wash this past weekend a success. Special thanks go out to Wal-Mart in Central for location and donations, to the Clemson Advance Auto for donating supplies, and to our treasurer Tom for coordinating the event!

CARS is having a car wash fundraiser this Saturday (April 9th) at the Wal-Mart in Central from 1pm-6pm! Get your car cleaned while you shop, club donations appreciated.

Also, don't for get to donate to the CARS Relay for Life team by clicking HERE or on the banner at the right!

Thanks to everyone that came by Chili's today. Good to see some of the new members out there, it was a great time. A special thanks goes out to Chili's for their hospitality!

This Saturday 2/12/05 the CARS Chevrolet Monte Carlo will be on display at the Mechanical Engineering National Honor Fraternity, Pi Tau Sigma's, National Convention. This event is being held at Clemson University's Madren Center, and will include a presentation on Clemson's new International Center for Automotive Research. Students and faculty from across the country will be on hand, and CARS is looking forward to participating as Clemson's first NASCAR team.

9/29/04 -
CARS will be hosting the first annual Run Whatcha Brung Poker Run as the first fundraiser of the semester on Saturday Oct. 9th. First vehicle leaves R-3 at 10:00am, last vehicle out at noon followed by a cookout and door prizes at final stop. $250 for the best hand, $100 for the worst. Click here for details.

**What is a Poker Run you ask? Each vehicle will travel to 5 different locations in the Clemson and Greenville area, picking up 1 playing card at each stop. As the Poker Run progresses, each player builds a poker hand. Prizes are awarded at the end of the run. This event promises to be a lot of fun, so come out and support Clemson Auto Racing Society!

9/12/04-
CARS will be competing in the 5th annual Pete Blackwell Memorial SHRINE RACE presented by Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet Saturday, September 18th at Greenville Pickens Speedway. This is the final race of Greenville Pickens' 2004 season, and promises to be a good show. For ticket information visit www.greenvillepickens.com , or call the track at 864.629.0852.

I am proud to report that in 5 races this summer we have scored 2 top tens, and are improving every week! We are still limited by funding, and are unable to compete every week, but please look for us the remainder of this season, as we're looking to continue our progress on the track!
