This Symposium brought together scientists, growers, ecologists, geneticists,

seed producers, wildlife managers, public land managers, and native plant enthusiasts,

all with interest in our wonderful native grasses.

 

There were scientific and applied presentations, field trips, workshops, and a trade show,

all related to aspects of our native grasses. 

Topics  included ecology and genetics of native grasses, native grasses as feed-stocks,

native grass communities, native grasses and wildlife, native grasses as forage,

eastern seed source development, propagation and establishment,

aesthetic use of native grasses, grassland art, and many more.

 

Who participated?  University researchers and extension people, agency people,

industry representatives, growers, wildlife managers, artists and other interested individuals
