Welcome to the homepage of the Clemson Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society. Our parent society is the oldest fisheries professional organization in the world. Established in 1870, the American Fisheries Society seeks to promote scientific research and progressive resource management. AFS at Clemson University is a subunit of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. We serve the graduate and undergraduate student community of Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. In addition to the mission of the parent society, the subunit focuses on professional development, promotion of student participation in research and meetings, and service to our community. Currently membership in the Clemson University Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society is free and requires only student status at Clemson University and attendance of our monthly meetings. |
