Introduction to Clemson University:
Welcome to Clemson University Korean Student Association!
Since established in 1985, CUKSA has 25 years history. Main affairs of KSA is to welcome and support the early settlement of new Korean student & visiting scholar into Clemson University. Currently CUKSA have 90 members including the family member. Several hundred alumni in Korea and in the world increase the pride as an Alumni of CUKSA in their area. Also in Korea, CU Korean Alumni Association has a yearly meeting to promote the close relationship. KSA have several informal activity clubs; soccer, tennis, game and fishing.
Annually CUKSA hosts 3 main events to promote the friendship among KSA members; Korean food festival in International Week in April, Welcome party & Athletic meeting in the beginning of fall semester and the year-end party in the end of fall semester.
Korean Food Festival
In the International education week, normally first week of April, KSA prepares the Korean food table in the international food festival. Korean BBQ called BULKOKI is one of most popular menu in the festival.
Welcome party & Atheletic meeting
In the beginning of the fall semester, KSA support and pickup new student to GSP airport. And host the orientation for new students. Also KSA host the welcome party and athletic meeting in August. This event is biggest event that CUKSA hosts.
Year-end party
In the end of the fall semester, normally December, KSA hosts the year-end party. In this event, KSA members enjoy lots of Korean traditional games, bingo and singing contest including delicious buffet.
