Introduction to Clemson University:

Welcome to Clemson University Korean Student Association!

Since established in 1985, CUKSA has 26 years history. Main affairs of KSA are to welcome and help the early settlement of new Korean student & visiting scholar into Clemson University. Currently, CUKSA have 90 members including the family members. CUKSA Alumni in Korea as well as over the world increase the pride in their area. Especially, CU Korean Alumni Association has a yearly meeting to promote the close relationship in Korea. CUKSA has several informal activity clubs; soccer, tennis, game and fishing.

 

CUKSA Yearly Main Events

Annually CUKSA hosts 3 main events to promote the international friendship within CU Campus as well as among KSA members; Korean food festival in International Week in April, Welcome party & Athletic meeting in the beginning of fall semester and the year-end party in the end of fall semester.

Korean Food Festival
In the International education week, normally first week of April, KSA prepares Korean food tables for the international food festival. Korean BBQ called BULKOKI is one of most popular menu in the food festival.

Korean Film Festival [2010. Apr]

Korean movie and drama became one of most popular trends among Korean modern culture, called 'HALLYU' from near Asian countries.

Welcome party & Atheletic meeting
In the beginning of the fall semester, KSA support and pickup new student to GSP airport. And host the orientation for new students. Also KSA host the welcome party and athletic meeting in August. This event is biggest event that CUKSA hosts.

Year-end party
In the end of the fall semester, normally December, KSA hosts the year-end party. In this event, KSA members enjoy lots of Korean traditional games, bingo and singing contest including delicious buffet.
