Sustainable Biofuels Initiative

Clemson's Sustainable Biofuels Initiative is up and running, producing new batches of biodiesel every week from the used vegetable oil on campus. The research group is made of undergraduates and graduate students with a variety of interests. Check out their new blog!

Beyond Coal

Last year, Clemson students partnered with the Sierra Student Coalition to kick off the Beyond Coal campaign. SEA collected hundreds of signatures from Clemson students, faculty and staff, demonstrating their desire to move beyond coal and to a just and cleaner energy future. SEA's action group, Beyond Carbon, has taken over this campaign and will be working this semester to power Clemson past coal!

Dirt To Food

Dirt to Food is a new organization dedicated to increasing sustainability, creating a food network and educating the local and campus community in Clemson. Our mission is to advance a culture of health and sustainability by connecting community members and creating opportunities to experience fresh, locally grown food.

Farm Aid Benefit Festival

The fourth annual Farm Aid Benefit proved successful yet again, bringing together the Clemson community to celebrate and support our Student Organic Farm. This year we raised over $1000 to support the Farm's Community Supported Agriculture program and continue providing fresh, local food for our community.

Determined Spirit

Clemson senior Gabriel Fair is a man of action. The co-president of Students for Environmental Action (SEA) is not content to sit back and wait for change to happen. He wants to make it happen.
